Harold J. Johnson, 86 of Punxsutawney, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2017 at Penn Highlands Brookville.

Harold was born May 4, 1931 in Lawton, KY., to the late Ray and Pearl Boggs Johnson.

Harold loved his collection of antiques, the outdoors and time spent with his grandchildren, great grandchildren and family. He could always be seen eating at Ponderosa, his favorite restaurant. He also loved spending time with his dog.

He is survived by two sons; Mitch (Arlene) Johnson and Tim Johnson and one daughter; Holly (Scott) Howard, all of Punxsutawney. One brother; Philip (Violette) Johnson and one sister; Barbara McNevin all of Ohio, four grandchildren; Helena Miller (Ben), Cody Howard, Brycen Howard, and Logan Howard, three great-grandchildren; Shawn Phillips, Danielle Phillips, and Sara Phillips, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Harold was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Miller Johnson in November of 1996, one brother; Roy Johnson, one infant brother; JD Johnson, and one sister; Jewel Boggs.

Friends will be received from 2-6 pm Friday, June 16, 2017 at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney, where a funeral service will follow at 6 pm with Rev. John Pennington officiating.

Interment is private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
