Mary Louise Oleszewski, 95, formerly of New Derry, loving wife and mother, died on Thursday, June 15, 2017, at the home of her daughter in Powell, Ohio. She was committed to her loving family and selflessly lived her life in service of her family and friends. By example she showed her children the value of a strong work ethic, the importance of family, and the gift of generosity. Her children and grandchildren will live by her example and the roadmap she provided.

She was born January 11, 1922, in Crabtree, a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Rose Panichella. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, William, two sisters, Carmella and Louise, and a brother, Frank.

She is survived by eight children, Karen (Lou) Tepper of Greensboro,GA, William (Maryanna) Oleszewski of Knoxville, TN, Richard (Elizabeth)Oleszewski of Bethesda, MD, Susan (Lesa) Oleszewski of Philadelphia, PA, Thomas (Karen) Oleszewski of Laurel, MD, Jane (Bryan) Martin of Powell, OH, Joseph (Pam) Oleszewski of Southport, NC, and Marcia (Dan) Thompson of Kensington, MD; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother (John) and sister (Mafalda) of Jeannette, PA.

Friends will be received at the McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avenue, Derry, PA. from 10:00 to 11:30 AM, Thursday June 22, 2017. A funeral mass will be celebrated at noon in St. Martin Roman Catholic Church, 5684 Route 982, New Derry. Interment will follow in the St. Martin Church Cemetery.
