Cloyd H. Troutman, 93, formerly of Derry died Sunday March 17, 2019 at the Loyalhanna Senior Suites. He was born August 7, 1925 in Altoona a son of the late Cloyd A. and Esther Elizabeth Isenberg Troutman.
He was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Derry and was a WWII US Army Veteran having served in the Phillipines and Okinawa. He had retired from Robertshaw where he had worked as a Mechanical-Industrial Engineer. "He lived such a full life and accomplished so much in his 93 years. He never left you without a smile or a crazy joke to add to your collection. He lived for his family and fought for his country. He was an animal lover, a foodie at heart and was a sneaky pool shark when you challenged him to a game."
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Barbara Marie Ketring Troutman and his sister Irene M. Stango.
He is survived by his loving daughter Valari K. Ritchey and her husband Mark, two grandchildren Jason Ritchey of the Philippines and Juliene Erb and her husband Jeff of Reading. Three great grandchildren; Hannah, Alex and Megan and their mother Celeste Ritchey of Kaneohe, Hawaii.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 6-8pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avenue, Derry where a service will be conducted Thursday at 10:30am with his pastor the Reverend William A. Schaefer officiating. Entombment will follow in the Westmoreland Co. Memorial Park Mausoleum.
