Geraldine Libengood Obituary

Geraldine G. Powers Libengood, 96, of Latrobe (formerly of Hillside), went to be with her lord Sunday April 29, 2018 in Excela Latrobe Hospital. She was born April 15, 1922 in Bradenville a daughter of the late David and Mary Bush Powers.

Geraldine attended the Bethany United Methodist Church in Latrobe and was a member of Christ Bible Fellowship in Indiana. She loved Jesus, canning, cooking and baking.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Verl Libengood (1996), a son David L. Libengood (2008), 2 brothers; Wilbur "Bud" and David Powers. One sister Mildred Dettling.

She is survived by her loving son Reverend D. Ronald Libengood (Joy) of Hillside, three grandchildren; Becky Penich (Chuck), Ronnie Libengood and Robert Johnston. Four great grandchildren; Sarah, Jacob and Emily Penich, and Daniel Libengood. Threee great great grandchildren; Lilith, Logan and Athena. .

Friends will be received Tuesday from 6-8pm and Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avenue, Derry where a service will be conducted Thursday at 11am with Rev. Les Hutchins Jr, officiating.

Interment will follow in Coles Cemetery, Derry.
