Kathleen Ann Smith

Kathleen Ann Smith, 71, of Derry, PA., passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018 at Excela Latrobe Hospital.

She was the daughter of Lawrence and Helen L. (Silvoskey) McCracken, born on February 14, 1947 in Latrobe, PA.

Kathleen was employed at St Vincent College for 30 years in Public Relations and the St. Vincent Development Club.  Prior she worked in the Derry Area School District.  Kathleen loved to travel and cook but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Richard Zemba and wife Jennifer and Brian Zemba and wife Jackie both of Derry; two sisters, Leandre Randall of Latrobe and Lynn Hantz and husband Gary of Greensburg; three grandchildren, Jacob, Danielle, Lillian Zemba; four nieces, Rhonda, Melanie, Maggie and Madison.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles T. Smith.

Friends will be received on August 25, 2018 at St. Vincent Basilica from 10 to 11 am with her funeral Mass to follow at 11 am.  Interment will be in St. Vincent Cemetery.  The McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Ave. Derry is handling the arrangements.
