Lewis T. Sinemus, 83 (formerly of Derry and Cicero, NY) died Tuesday August 21, 2018 in Ligonier Gardens. He was born April 28, 1935 in Derry, a son of the late Herman and Mary Gamble Sinemus.
Lewis was a US Air Force Veteran. He was an electrical engineer for General Electric having worked on many NASA projects. He always enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends telling stories, laughing and being the life of the party. He shared his wisdom and zest for life easily and many people will miss him.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Herman and Victor Sinemus. Four sisters; Florence Sinemus, Frances H. Olson, Anna Mae Yordy and Mary Edna Neighly.
Lewis is survived by his daughters Mary Lou Sinemus (Mark Pope) of Bristol, TN and Lydia Sinemus (Jim Flannagan) of Bristol, VA. A grandaughter Samantha Strader and a grandson Lt. Thomas Sinemus (Beth). Two brothers; Lon Sinemus (Judy) of Derry and Ronald Sinemus (Linda) of Latrobe. Two sisters; Rose Planisek of Ligonier and Linda Deal (Larry) of Torrance. Several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life for Lewis will be held Saturday September 1, 2018 at DeNunzios at the Arnold Palmer Airport, Latrobe. Family will receive friends there from 3:00-5:00pm. A service will begin at 5:00 with a dinner after.
