Rev. George Pembleton Obituary

Rev. George J. Pembleton, age 90, of Mahaffey, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018 at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh. Mr. Pembleton was born July 1, 1928 in Harveys Lake, PA. to the late George and Doris (Higgins) Pembleton. He was a WWII and Korean War veteran and enlisted when it was the Army Air Corps and reenlisted in the Air Force. He was one of the first occupational troops deployed to Hiroshima. He was a minister for many years doing the Lords work and staying involved in all things ministry. He was a devoted family man and adored his granddaughter and great granddaughter and his special dog; Sophie. George was preceded in death by his first wife Martha A. "Ann" (Keller) Pembleton. They were married 48 years. He was also preceded in death by his second wife; Dorothy Maurer-Pembleton. They were married for 7 years. He is survived by his daughter; Nancy Morgan and husband Darl of Mahaffey. One granddaughter; Shawna Ann Morgan and his great granddaughter; Abigail Rae Morgan and one sister; Ruth Wilde of Wilkes-Barre. In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by three; brothers; David, Willard and Darryl Pembleton. Three sisters; Lula "Tiny" Mock, Irene Molecavage and Ramona Richards.
