Dennis E. "Denny" Johnston

Dennis (Denny) E. Johnston, 66, of Latrobe, died Tuesday November 26, 2019 unexpectedly at home. He was born March 7, 1953 in Latrobe a son of the late Donald (Spike) and Irene Hartzel Johnston.

Denny was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He loved riding motorcycles and has said some of the best times he ever had was going for long rides on his Harley with his daughter Leila and her husband Harold. He was a die hard Steelers fan and also loved going on family vacations to the beach. He had a great sense of humor and loved pulling practical jokes. He also had a fondness for teasing the people he loved. Another one of his favorite things to do was going to see Jimmy Buffett in concert with his sisters Cindy and Kim and his daughter Brooke.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson Willy Denny Ankney.

He is survived by his two beautiful daughters; Brooke Roddy (Liam) and Leila "Beans" Baker (Harold). His sisters Cynthia Kloock (Andrew) and Kimberly Orazio (Ronald). A brother Donald Johnston (DJ). Five grandchildren; Aidan, Lilyana, Hoyt, Harbor and Haven.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday December 5, 2019 at 2pm in the American Legion Post #515, 1811 Ligonier Street, Latrobe, PA 15650.
