Frieda Marlene Sleasman

Frieda Marlene Sleasman, 76, of Derry, died unexpectedly Monday May 1, 2023 at her home. She was born December 23, 1946 in Cook Township, a daughter of the late James and Sarah Ann Sanders Sleasman.
She was a member of the Derry First United Methodist Church. Over the years she had worked for many families in Ligonier and Derry. Baking for her family and friends gave her great pleasure as well as being around her family, friends and especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a granddaughter Chloe Marie Sleasman, brothers; Kenneth Douglas, Wade, Emerson, Domer and John Sleasman, sisters; Emma Jean Tinkey, Alverda Hall, Edna Pearl Sleasman and Dorothy Simms.
Frieda is survived by her loving sons; William Carns (Cindy) of Millwood, Ronald Carns (Michelle) of Boca Raton, Florida, Franklin Carns (Susan) of Rector and Gregory Sleasman (Melissa) of Ligonier, her sister Sandra Sleasman (Ralph Weller) of Stahlstown, brothers; Raymond Sleasman (Pat) of Stahlstown and James Sleasman of Everson, ten grandchildren, one great granddaughter, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends will be received Friday from 4-7pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avenue, Derry where a service will be conducted at 7pm.
