George Fisher Obituary

George E. Fisher Jr 85 of Ligonier passed away Saturday May 7 2022 in his home with his Daughter by his side. He was born September 8, 1936 in Johnstown, PA. He was a man filled with love and compassion for everyone he met. He was preceded in death by his parents and beloved Wife Katherine. He also was preceded in death by his son in laws, Gary P. Kause and Mark A. Brinker. George is survived by Daughter, Kathy Brinker with whom he resided. He is also survived by Granddaughters Jennifer wife of Chad Gyorke, Kelly wife of Mike Zemrose. Grandsons, Robert Griffith and good friend Greta. Russell and wife Crystal, Brian and wife April. Great Grandsons Conner and Logan Gyorke and Michael Zemrose. Great Granddaughters, Katie and Amy Griffith. He was a veteran who proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Friends will be received 4-7 PM Wednesday, May 11th at the McCabe Funeral Home, 144 E. Main St. Ligonier. Service will be held Thursday at 11am at Moxham Lutheran Church, Johnstown, with Rev. Rebecca West officiating. Interment will be made in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. "Pap" will be greatly missed by those who loved him. His family would like to thank Excela Hospice for the excellent care he received and a special Thank You to Julie his Nurse who did an outstanding job caring for him. We all will be eternally grateful for your kindness.
