Helen W. Craig

Helen W. "H" Craig, 93, of Ligonier, died peacefully Friday May 13, 2022 in the comfort of her home
surrounded by family. Born February 27, 1929 in Ligonier, a daughter of the late
Stuart "Barney" and Georgia May Carnes Weller.
"H" was a member of the Heritage United Methodist Church and had sung in the choir for many years.
She retired as a secretary from the Ligonier Valley School District, was a member of the DAR and the Local Art
Club. "H" loved to laugh, sing, read and be surrounded by family. She and Skeeter handcrafted and painted miniature replicas
of Ligonier homes and businesses going by the name of "A Touch of Ligonier".
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George D. "Skeeter" Craig in 2016, grandson Adam Roberts in 2009, a son in law Gary Woolridge in 2012,
and her four sisters; Elizabeth "Bid" Bernheisel, Louise "Weedy" Horner, Suzanne "Sue" Berger and Nancy "Nan" Ferry.
Helen is survived by her loving children; Scott (Sharon) Craig, Jeff (Melissa) Craig, Susan Woolridge and Doug (Barbara) Craig all of Ligonier.
Marcie Craig of Oxford, PA and Jennifer (Scott) Dorff of Colorado Springs, CO. 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2-6pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 144 East Main Street Ligonier. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Family requests no flowers but donations to the Ligonier Valley Endowment or a charity of one's choice.
