Ilona Weyers

Ilona Weyers passed away on December 18, 2020 in Doha, Qatar after a three month battle with cancer.  She was born on May 15, 1962 in Kaldenkirchen, Germany and moved to Squirrel Hill, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in August, 1989.  An inveterate traveler and adventurer, over the course of her life she lived in multiple cities in Germany along with Singapore, Waiheke Island, New Zealand, and Doha, Qatar and traveled to more than 40 countries.  She is survived by her husband, Michael Trick, and son, Alexander Trick, as well as her sister Elke and close cousins Helmut and Karin Erkens.  Ilona had a passion for environmental issues and spent many wonderful hours in Frick Park, so in lieu of flowers, donations to the Nine Mile Run Watershed Association https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/1436691 are suggested.  A memorial service will be held when circumstances permit.
