Mildred J. Springer

Mildred J. Springer, 94, of Ligonier, died Thursday May 20, 2021 at Excela Latrobe Hospital.
She was born October 22, 1926 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Russell and Harriet Taschel Jacober.
Mildred had formerly worked at the Laughlintown Pie Shop for over thirty years. She loved to bake, swim, read
and make sock dolls.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Frank J. Springer in 1983.
Her brother Russell Jacober and her sister Ruth Rinehart.
She is survived by her loving children; Frank E. Springer (Colleen) of Bolivar, Kathy Buszinski (Michael) of Blairsville,
Chris Stouffer (Rod) of Ligonier, Karen Hamm (Joe) of St. Stephen's, VA and Kim Whipkey of Laughlintown.
Ten grandchildren, numerous great and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Sunday from  4-7pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 144 East Main Street, Ligonier. A funeral service will be conducted
Monday at 10am in the funeral home.
The family is requesting no flowers but donations to a charity of choice.
