Sara Ambrose Obituary

Sara P. Ambrose, 85, of Ligonier, died suddenly Friday November 15, 2019 at her home. She was born June 15, 1934 in Fairfield Twp. a daughter of the late Charles B. and A. Rachel Wisner Palmer.

Sara was a member of the Hope Evangelical Methodist Church in Youngstown. She was a good cook who enjoyed working on the farm, needle point, crocheting and sewing.Her family was the most important thing to her.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters Cora Jane Palmer and Esther Lute. Two brothers Arnold P. and Henry Palmer and a grandaughter Rebecca Campbell.

She is survived by her loving husband of over 62 years Andrew "Sonny" Ambrose and her children; Earlene Frye of Greensburg, Charlotte A. Campbell (Raymond B. Sr.) of Derry, Andrew Ambrose (Cindy) of Champion, Ronald Ambrose of Ligonier and Sandra D. Pavlik of Ligonier. Two brothers; Charles Palmer (Betty) and David Palmer (Loralee) all of Ligonier. Nine grandchildren; Daphne Swartz (Bryan), Tyler Frye (Jess), Alex Frye (Lea), Raymond Campbell Jr. (Becky), Yvonne White, Matthew Pavlik (Marcy), Adam Pavlik (Amanda), Aaron Pavlik (Joy) and Rachel Bower (Carter). Fifteen great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and her faithful companions Jake and Tucker.

Friends will be recieved Monday from 3-5 and 7-9pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avenue, Derry where a service will be conducted Tuesday at 11am with Pastor Wayne Rhodes officiating. Interment will follow in the Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
