William E. Kennedy, 79, of Ligonier, passed away Monday April 6, 2020 at Excela Westmoreland Hospital after a long battle with Parkinsons Disease. He was born June 6, 1940 in Braddock the son of the late Earle and Florence Bergstresser Kennedy.
Bill was a member of the Pioneer Presbyterian Church in Ligonier having served on many projects and committees. He was a proud US Marine and had a strong love for the constitution, his country, and teaching young people about the constitution and freedom. He was a retired Wilkinsburg Fireman. At one time he owned a bookstore in Wilkinsburg (American Opinion) and was a true history buff. He had a special love for his church, church friends, and all types of music. (with a large record collection)
Bill is survived by his loving wife Gloria A. Fabrizi Kennedy, sister-in-laws: Donna Manna (Michael) of Penn Hills, Patsy Rapp of Export, Connie Manna (Sam) of Cranberry and Sandy Lee Hobbs of Apollo. A brother-in-law James Fabrizi of Apollo. Numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later time.
