John C. "CR" Himic, 80, of Latrobe died Wednesday February 15, 2017 in Excela Latrobe Hospital. He was born December 22, 1936 in Latrobe a son of the late John J. and Therese Kovalik Himic.

CR was a member of Holy Family Church of Latrobe, the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. He was a US Airforce veteran having served in Korea. He retired from Vanadium (ATI Industries) and was a Lionel Train collector.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Dennis A. Himic.

He is survived by his sister Gloria Rohall (William) of Latrobe, a brother Eugene J. Himic (Linda) of White Twp., PA, a nephew Dennis M. Himic (Gina) and two nieces Ellen Himic and Dana Watt (Mark).

A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10:30am in St. Rose Church, Latrobe.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Church, Latrobe.
